Flight information from USA to Dublin

As you already know we had to break the group up into 3 different flights to accommodate everyone. Each city will have different price as well. Please note all these prices are subject to change due to the increase in fuel charges. I will call a week and a half before May 1st and get the final price so you all can send in the proper amount for your ticket price. The only one that I can see changing right now is the flight out of Chicago because we booked the flight when fuel charges were low. Options

We are excited that this group is now officially our largest ever AYC group. Some of you have already started asking about getting into Chicago on July 16 and what is the best way. I would suggest flying in the night before and getting a hotel room near the airport if you are able. If you must fly into Chicago the same day please arrive before 11:30 am. Our flight leaves at 3:00 pm and we do not want you to miss your flight. We have had people arrive 5 minutes before the gates closed and they nearly missed their flight. Since your reservation or flight into Chicago is not linked to our flight to Dublin. You will be responsible to purchase another ticket into Dublin or wait in Chicago until they can get you on another flight with a change fee.

Another option is to purchase a 1 way ticket into Indianapolis on July 15th and spend the night with a family from Josh Wilson's home church in Carmel, Indiana. There will be a bus and train leaving from Carmel on the 16th headed for Chicago. The bus is 15.00 USD one-way and 20.00 USD RT to cover gas. If you want to ride the train from Indianapolis to Chicago the cost will be 30.00 USD. The only way we will take the train is if the bus fills up to its 15 person capacity. Then purchase the other 1 way home from Chicago that afternoon.

For those of you who are close to Indiana you are welcome to meet us in Carmel and ride the van up to Chicago. We will leave Carmel at 8:30 AM stop for milkshakes and arrive at the airport at 11:30. We will have a bus picking us up in Chicago on the 28th when we return. The bus will be back in Carmel at 8:30 PM that night.

Because we chose not to put a limit on this years trip we have been forced to book another option on a flight out of New Orleans or Baton Rouge depending on the cost of the flight. We have many participants flying from LA or MS so instead of flying to Chicago we are going to have you all fly with LA District Section 6 Youth leader Taylor Fairbanks. This will be Taylor's 4th AYC mission and his 7th International trip. We will book this flight on Monday this week and get you the information. The total cost of this flight will be 1300.00 but you will not have to fly into Chicago. This will actually save you about 200.00 USD if you are from LA. Please check back Monday afternoon for the flight details. We are asking everyone from LA or MS to please consider flying this route.

If you have any questions please email Josh Wilson at jwilson149@hotmail.com.

A HUGE THANKS!

We want to give a huge thanks and shout out to the Indiana District for giving to our cause this summer. The Indiana district Crusaders have created a yearly custom each year at their Winter Youth Convention to give a missions offering to sponsor our summer AYC outreach efforts. This year they gave 2351.00 dollars. The offering will pay the printing cost of our 100,000 flyers for Ireland and Poland and then some! Thanks to Rev. Dan Mundy the Indiana District Youth President and his leadership team for giving to this great cause.

We are going to continue to raise funds for the blockparty in Ireland and to purchase sound equipment for the Adams family. The need as about 2500.00 dollars more. Many times pastors who are sending their students have given to this cause in the past. Last year in Uganda many churches sent 200.00-500.00 dollar offerings to bless the work. Please join with us in prayer that God would put this need on the hearts of pastors all over the USA.

Finally please say a prayer of blessing for the Indiana District Crusaders for giving. This was a sacrificial offering they gave. God bless you.

Why Go? According to Chelsea Savala

Why YOU should go on a AYC mission trip. There is no explanation to describe how amazing it is to have your eyes opened in such a way it completely changes who you are. That is what just one AYC experience did for me. I was beyond blessed to join a group of young people heading to Uganda, Africa sitting on that forever long plane ride all of us full of hope and anticipation. The moment the plane flew low enough for us to see Africa it was a fight to get in a window, to see another country below you knowing the God that made our home also made theirs. We were about to enter a completely different world.
Having no one to rely on in a foreign land except our leaders and the rest of the AYC group really hit me once we were off the plane it honestly made me more independent. Meeting and getting to know these absolutely amazing people of Uganda changed my personal opinion of myself and who I wanted to be. The love, trust, loyalty and faith that they had were at a level so high I can only pray to obtain one day. The services were probably as close to being in Heaven as possible. The worship and dance were pure love and joy for God and for hours at a time. The mind set of the people took my breath away at how humble and how in love with God they were. To have the bare-minimum to survive they are the happiest group of people I have ever and will probably ever meet.
Not only did the people of Uganda affect me but also the other AYCer’s. Getting to know the group of outstanding young people in the ALJC district and becoming inseparable friends even after the trip is such a blessing. All of us have different passions and lives we lead but there is one thing all 28 of us will have in common, this mission trip. God always has the perfect plan and every one of us were there for a reason and I couldn’t ask for a better group to be with.
My life has drastically changed because of this AYC trip. Uganda will forever be in my heart, my worship, my love and my dance. Even if you don’t specifically feel called to foreign mission work still go, at least one time in your life. Break out of your box, trust God with your whole being and step in faith. Nothing but pure greatness can come from a missions trip. :)
