The AYC exists to give students of the ALJC an opportunity to live out their mission. Every summer we journey to various countries of the world.In 2013 we will travel to the Philippines from July 8-19. Put your mission in action with the Apostolic Youth Corps of the ALJC!

What are we doing and when?
Here is a
day by day schedule for the duration of the mission!
1. Everyone
arrive at LAX by 1:00 pm local time on July 9th
2. We leave
on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 9 at 6:00 pm on arriving in
Honolulu at 8:45 pm local time.
3. Spend the
night in Honolulu
4. Breakfast
in Hawaii on the beach on July 10th
5. Leave
Honolulu at 1:15 local time on Hawaii Airlines flight 455 arriving in Manila at
6:05 pm local time on July 11th.
6. We will
be staying at Fersal Hotel in Manila
7. On Friday
July 12th we will hand out flyers to promote the local church and then have a
blockparty that afternoon we will stay at the Westown Hotel in Bacolod
8. On
July 13th we will leave on Philippine Airlines 0133 at 8:30 am arriving at 9:45
am in Bacolod
9. Upon
arrival we will promptly check into our hotel and do another blockparty in
Bacolod
10. On July
14th we will have a Sunday morning service in Bacolod
11. After
church we will take a 2 hr bus ride to Kabankalan upon arrival we will have a
Sunday PM service
12. After
church we will check into the Southgate Inn
13. On July
15th we will take a day to visit the beach and have a nice group
lunch/dinner on the beach
14. Work day
on the church we are helping to build in Bocana
15. July 17th
we will have a church dedication and celebration for our new church that the
Apostolic Crusaders helped fund and build
16. On July
18th we will leave on the bus at 7:30 am to return back to Manila by
air on Philippine Airlines flight 136 at 12:30 pm arriving at 1:40 pm in Manila
17. We leave
Manila at 7:50 pm on Hawaiian Airlines flight 456 arrive in Honolulu at 12:10
pm
18. We have
an 11 hour layover in Honolulu. We will look for options to leave the airport
and perhaps visit some historical spots in around the airport.
19. We leave
Honolulu at 11:20 pm on Hawaiian Airlines flight 4 arriving at LAX at 7:45 am
20. Everyone
will need to book their return flight back to their home city after 12:30 pm my
assistant AYC leader Taylor Fairbanks will be spending the night in LA just in
case someone misses their connection and cannot leave until that night or the
next day

AYC Philippines Update
We are getting ready to post our final 2013 Mission roster. We have 15 people geared up and ready to go get our mission on! Check back here in a week to see our roster and our flight plan once we arrive in the Philippines. Let us know if you have any questions. God bless.

Flights are booked to Manila
We are excited to tell everyone that we have booked our flights the Philippines. We will be leaving LAX on July 9th at 6:00 pm on Hawaiian Airlines flight 9 and returning from the Philippines on July 18 at 7:50 pm arriving back at LAX at 7:45 am on July 19th. We will have an over night layover in Hawaii on the way over and a 11 hour layover on the way back.
The total for the airfare from LAX to MNL is 1250.00 per person. We were able to get a great deal for such a large group. If you are going and want to book your tickets to LAX early please do the following.
1. If you want to arrive a day early Taylor Fairbanks will be there to meet you at the airport on July 8th. However you will be responsible for your hotel room that night.
2. If you want to fly in on the 9th or the day we deapart please be sure your fligt arrives no later than 12:00 pm or noon that day. We would hate for you to get delayed and miss your flight to the Philippines because of a delay or missed connection.
3. For your flight back please book your flight home from LAX after noon to allow us enough time to get our bags and then recheck them to your home destination.
